Wisdom Foundation Announces the Teen Athletic Summit &
"Best of the Carolinas" Elite Talent Showcase
March 11–12, 2026 | Second Ward, Charlotte, NC | 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Charlotte, NC — The Wisdom Foundation proudly announces the Teen Athletic Summit & Showcase Showdown, a two-day event designed to uplift and empower student-athletes through education, entrepreneurship, wellness, and competitive showcase experiences. The summit will take place March 11–12, 2026, in the historic Second Ward of Charlotte — a community deeply rooted in African American heritage and undergoing a powerful period of revitalization.
Second Ward was once home to Brooklyn, Charlotte’s most vibrant Black neighborhood and business district before urban renewal displaced its residents in the 1960s. Today, the area is experiencing renewed investment and cultural restoration. Hosting this event here is both symbolic and intentional — honoring the legacy of Black excellence while creating new opportunities for the next generation of emerging athletes and leaders.
DAY 1 — INFORMATION + INSPIRATION (March 11)
Day One focuses on developing student-athletes beyond the court. The evening features expert-led panels on:
The Future of Sports & Recruiting 101
Entrepreneurship & Education
Mental & Physical Health for Student-Athletes
A school-spirit Pep Rally follows, featuring the BOB Rising Stars North vs. South 8th Grade Game, cheer performances, and crowd engagement. Students will also experience media exposure through a live podcast, radio features, and the Mini Elite Athlete Experience with photo and interview opportunities.
DAY 2 — SHOWCASE COMPETITION (March 12)
Day Two brings high-energy athletic excitement with:
Dunk Contest
3-Point Contest
North vs. South “Best of the Carolinas” Showcase Game
The evening concludes with awards recognizing standout talent, including Rising Star MVP, Dunk Winner, 3-Point Champion, BOB Showcase Winner, and BOB MVP.

Community Cookout
The Wisdom Foundation Community Cookout
We hope to motivate them and give them hope for a better tomorrow. We understand that it takes more than this, but there must be a start!
The Wisdom Foundation Community Cookout was started by a local family, two years ago, to serve the homeless brothers and sisters in Charlotte. Homelessness is growing in the USA at increasing rates and here in Charlotte multiplying over the years. The Wisdom Foundation Cookout is providing a nutritious hot meal for the for those that are having a hard time. Our desire is to encourage them, pray for them, while taking care of some basic needs for food and clothing.
We hope to motivate them and give them hope for a better tomorrow. We understand that it takes more than this, but there must be a start! Join us in providing love, support and solutions to those in need. At our last event we fed and provided clothing for over 150 people. We had help from nearby hotels, friends and family to achieve this. This was a great achievement however many were not served. Help us increase the provisions, so we can meet the needs, for those desiring the help to change.
